How To Find Out If You’ve Been “Pinned” On Pinterest

The website Pinterest has taken the world by storm. If you’re not on it, sign up today. Seriously. It will change your life. (And consume your life too, but that’s a whole other story…)

I love finding recipes, decorating ideas and fitness tips on Pinterest.

I cannot even imagine planning a wedding now that Pinterest is around. I think there may be such a thing as “too many options.” But I digress.

Have you ever wondered if anyone has “pinned” anything from your blog? Well, there’s a way to find out.

Here’s how I found out who had pinned things linking up to my blog:

And here are the “pins” people have added from my blog:

Not too many, but still fun to see!

So give it a try. Just replace “thewannabeathlete.com” with your blog’s address. Let me know what you find!

  1. wow, I’m shocked that a couple of people have actually pinned something from my blog. Well, one was a pin of something I had previously pinned, but still, they pinned it from my blog. One was something I pinned from my own blog, LOL. One was a legitimate new idea that a person pinned from my blog, which is cool. Thanks Callie.

  2. I loooooove pinterest! Serious obsession! Nobody has pinned anything from my blog, womp haha. Someday!

Intersting! No one has pinned anything from me. Not suprised. :)

  4. Now that you mention it, I’m also glad that I didn’t know about pinterest when planning my wedding!

Great tip to share. I just learned this one myself last week :)

  5. So, my mom pinned me onto her blogs to read. That’s all. Hahaha I’ll have to thank her. :-)
    Thanks for the tip.

  6. Helpful!!! Thank you. I actually found what people had pinned by looking at my stats in wordpress and referral links, but this is more straight-forward! :) Thanks for the help.

  7. That was interesting, thank you. I’ve found a fat lot of nothing has been posted from my blog (LOL, really) but I’m not worried. I’m too fascinated by the site itself to worry about who’s posting me back up.

How do I get on pinterest?!? Every time I try to sign up, I am told my name is on the list, and I will be notified when I can join! Argh!

  9. Haha, I really didn’t think my silly little blog would have been re-pinned, but alas it has been! I feel so…important! :-)

  14. Thank you so much for the info! I haven’t been pinned at all yet, but I am just learning how to use it! I don’t think I even know how to pin something from someone’s site! I will have to experiment. Thanks!

  15. Thanks for the tip, Callie. I’ve been tracking things in a much less direct way – your way is much easier :)
I’m sad though, some of my stuff is being tagged as “thinspiration” which makes me a little uneasy. I know you can’t control how people re-pin… but weight is a tricky issue for me – I’m good proof that skinny doesn’t always equal healthy. Bahhh. Pinterest.

  16. That’s a great trick!!! Thanks for sharing :)

  17. thanks callie! i didn’t know you could do this before…i had no idea so many things have been pinned from my blog! :)

  18. I can not thank you enough for this post! I’ve recently become addicted to pinterest, but can be clueless on little things like being pinned! I love looking at the “Health and Fitness” section of pinterest! There are so many great daily workout plans, inspiration photos and ideas for delicious looking health foods! I could browse through pinterest all day if I had the time :)
