You’re not going to believe this.
I’m still not sure I really do.
Living in Florida, it seems like everyone runs the Disney Princess Half. Admittedly, it has been on my bucket list for years.
But it’s not cheap. And remember – running a half marathon distance seemed nearly impossible for me until less than two years ago. Seemed like one of those unattainable goals. Maybe something I would be able to do someday, but not any day soon.
But then I got an email yesterday that sent me dancing around my office:

We want to offer you a unique opportunity to both run the race and get a peek into some of the fun that makes a runDisney race weekend one to remember for children of all ages!
As part of your runDisney weekend experience, hotel accommodations, meals and theme park tickets will be taken care of for you. And in addition to running like a Princess, you will take part in a variety of special events throughout the weekend, including the Pasta in the Park Party, our exclusive “Meet Up” event, and pre-race pampering at the runners Race Retreat.

That’s right. A week from this Sunday, I will be running through the Magic Kingdom as part of the Disney Princess Half Marathon!
Seriously unbelievable.
For years, I have heard about others’ experiences running through this amazing course in their awesome princess costumes.
Now it will be me.
Hopefully in an awesome costume of my own. Speaking of which, I’m hoping you all will help me decide which princess I should be. Any suggestions???

You’re going to LOVE running a Disney race! This is my first time running Princess but will be my 3rd Disney race. I must admit – I’m totally jealous of the sweet deal you got – totally awesome that you get to experience all of the “perks” they offer!
Running in princess attire does sound rather fun. I’m not even close to being able to run a marathon, but I think that would be one I’d like to do!

I had so much fun running the princess last year as my first half. But when I do it again I will stop and take pictures I didn’t and looking back I realize I should have. But the entertainment and energy is amazing! Have fun!

THAT IS AWESOME!!! YEAH!!!! I am so very excited for you!!! I have a gf from HS running in it but she doesn’t get the whole blog thing so I will not get a good recap blog from her. Thank you much for reminding me to get little care package in the mail for her as well!!!!!! I need to go to the Post Office today! I got some Disney Princess temp tattoos and fairy dust and a few gu packs and stuff to send her for her upcoming race.

I LOVE runDisney! I’ve participated in more than 10 runDisney races since my identical twin & I completed our first Disney World Marathon in 2009!

P.S. I LOVE running in costume. I hope you will find something special to wear and make sure to stop for photos. Getting character photos along the course is the best part of runDisney races.
