I Need a Costume Designer

I’ve got princesses on the brain.

I promise – this is not going to become a Disney, fashion, or princess blog. I promise.

But just indulge me for the next week – okay?

I mentioned in my post that Belle is probably my favorite Disney princess. I loved the songs in Beauty and the Beast and could relate to Belle’s love of reading.

I went to Toys r Us last night to pick up a humidifier for the Mini Athlete – poor little guy has a cold. :(

On my way to the humidifier aisle, I got distracted by the princess aisle and sought out some Belle inspiration. Told you I have princesses on the brain.

It turns out there are many versions of Belle. Apparently the ball gown isn’t her only look.

There is the ballerina princes…

Bathtime Belle? (Her skirt is a “bath puff”!)

And then there’s the traditional look.

I have a lot of work ahead of me.

Thankfully my sister is coming to visit me this afternoon. We’ve got a few things in the works. I can’t wait to show you!

  1. You went to Toys R Us for a humidifier?? I had no idea they sold those! Also, I completely agree with you on Belle love. Beauty and the Beast is definitely one of my favorite Disney movies. I keep going back and forth between her and Ariel as to who’s my favorite princess, though… I can’t decide!

  2. YESS you chose Belle. That’s who I relate to most, too. Love her.

Definitely go with the classic; I don’t know from this Belle-turned-TinkerBelle stuff lol. Can’t wait to see what you come up with!!!!

  3. I think as long as you have a crown and wear yellow, you can be Belle, but that is my un-creative self talking.

  4. You are really killing me with all the girl stuff. The bath poof Belle? LOVE. Your killing me because I have two boys. LOL. Dollar Tree has some iridesent fine sparkly “fairy dust” for a buck. If your lucky u can find the princess temporary tattos there too. I sent my gf running the Princess Half the fairy dust to make her fly and I cannot remember who the tattos were of but I sent her princess tattos too. I really wanna say they were Belle because I remember a rose. You also might be inspired if they still have tutus. I used childrens tutus from there one year to make my Princess Peach costume for Halloween.

  5. good luck! got by belle tutu in the mail the other day and wore it around part of the afternoon…I’m obsessed!
