I woke up before my alarm this morning – I couldn’t contain my excitement! I ran into Christie in the hallway and we walked down to the foyer area together where we met up with the other bloggers who are running the Princess Half.
Including…Snow White? Also known as Kelly. Don’t you just love her costume??
We headed over to the park for the Princess Half Meet Up. About 100 Princess Half runners were invited to run this morning with Jeff Galloway at Epcot before it opened.
They split us up into two groups – one for a straight run through the park, the other for a run/walk method with Jeff Galloway. Since you already know I’m a big fan of the Galloway method, I chose to run with Jeff. I’m so glad I did!
We had an awesome time exploring Epcot and I had the honor of running beside Jeff and chatting with him. I loved hearing about his experiences running. He and his wife run together – about a marathon a month. How amazing is that? He has traveled all over the world running races – he’ll actually be running a marathon in Rome next month. I love how his philosophy has helped people who never thought they could run get out there and enjoy the sport. As he likes to say, enjoy every mile!
Thanks for a great run, Jeff!
After the run, we were treated to an awesome breakfast. Have I mentioned that Meghann is here too? Love sharing this experience with my friend!
We heard from superstars like Jeff Galloway, Betty Wong (editor-in-chief of Fitness Magazine), Rachel Booth (elite runner), and Suzy Favor Hamilton (Olympic runner and motivational speaker). So amazing and inspiring.
And of course, had a little dance party to top it all off.
Then we had another fun surprise – we got to meet a few of the Disney characters!
I just watched “Tangled” for the first time last week so I really wanted a photo with Rapunzel!
And nobody beats Minnie – all dressed up in her princess attire.
Heading to the Race Expo soon – let the magical journey continue!

This is tooo cool! Hope I can make it to a meetup for Wine and Dine…
What a wonderful experience! I’m a fan of Jeff Galloway. I’m hoping to interrupt his lecture at the expo too.
I didn’t know you were running the Princess Half too! Are you going to meetup hosting by Running with Sass?

I still haven’t decided which princess to be, Belle or Tiana. Come add your pick here!

See you soon and good luck with the race!
I am going to try to be there. Heather (Running with Sass) is another one of the bloggers here with RunDisney!
This is such an awesome opportunity for all of you, and it sounds like a lot of fun. I’d love to do this at some point in the future….
Hope the rest of your time is just as great!
Great pictures – looks like such a wonderful experience. The Princess Half is definitely on my list to do in the next couple of years!
It looks like you are having so much fun!! I would love to be able to experience that one day!
The Disney Princess Half is on my to-do list for next year! I haven’t been to Disney since I was 13, so it would be so fun to run through the parks and see everything through my “grown-up” eyes. I just did the ING Miami Half Marathon at the end of January and had a great time!
Good luck to you and all the princesses!
Karen
Yeah!! I can’t wait to read your recaps of everything!!
ahh this makes me miss disney so much!
This looks like the experience of a lifetime – AWESOME!!!!!!!!!! Love your photos!
