Where Is The Pause Button?

Life is flying by at an alarming rate. Anyone know where I can find the pause button? Or maybe just the button that will slow things down a little bit?

My first week at my new job could not have been better. Thanks for all your well wishes! I have a lot to learn, but I am excited about learning it all. Every day is a new adventure!

You’re not going to believe this but…the Mini Athlete turned ONE on Friday!

Doesn’t it just feel like yesterday I wrote about welcoming him into the world?

By the way, that is his favorite blankie in the world. My little sister Ashlyn made it for him and loves it more than just about everything. It’s so cute!

We actually went out of town this past weekend for a friend’s wedding and were lucky enough to stay with Katie’s parents. They were so wonderful – treating us like we were family. We even had a little party for him for his birthday!

Complete with cake…

He was not a fan. Haha.

Cake, party hats and presents. Does it get any better?

Happy first birthday to my little man!

We were staying near Savannah so we took a daytrip into the city on Saturday. We could not have asked for more beautiful weather. We walked along the waterfront and took in the sights.

Nate and I went to a wedding on Saturday evening – held at a beautiful home near Hilton Head. The groom grew up in Cleveland, Ohio and the bride grew up in Ghana. It certainly made for a wonderful event! So much culture, tradition – and love. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen two people who have SO much fun together as this bride and groom. They wrote their own vows and they were as sweet and sentimental as they were hilarious.

We packed up this morning and headed home. The Mini Athlete got his hands on some cookies on the way home.

Thankfully he just used the package as a drum and didn’t do a Cookie Monster impersonation.

We are now at home, living among the boxes. We’re finally moving this Saturday – anyone want to help us move? :) Oh and while you’re at it, can you please find that pause button for me? It must be in a box around here somewhere…

  9. I once asked my mother if life kept going by faster and faster and faster, as it seems to have been doing since, I don’t know, college? She said no, it pretty much stays about the same from 25 or 30 on. Thank goodness, because if it kept getting faster I think I would blink and I’d be 80!

The older I get the faster life goes. My little one is 4.5 months old how did that happen so fast? I try especially now, to appreciate every day because as much as I’d like there to be a pause button there isn’t.
