I had two goals tonight:
1. Work Out
2. Blog
Since you’re reading this, I’m sure you can figure out which of those two goals I accomplished tonight. I’m blogging in my workout clothes – does that count?
My days are busy – busier perhaps than they’ve ever been. On top of that, we are living with my in-laws and have yet to establish any semblance of a “routine”. I enjoyed walking in the evening two days last week – and haven’t had an evening since where I have had time to walk. I think it’s finally time to bite the bullet and start setting my alarm in the morning and getting out the door to get a workout under my belt before the Mini Athlete wakes up.
And yes, it is important to me that I get back before he wakes up. Why?
Because the only routine we have actually established in the morning is that when the Mini Athlete wakes up, we get him out of his crib (well, pack-n-play for the time being) and he crawls into bed with us for some snuggle time. It’s easily my favorite part of the day and I’m not willing to give that up. So I guess that means I’ll be giving up some sleep.
As you can tell, family time is very important to me and we had some pretty special family time this weekend for Father’s Day. We now live less than a 5k from the beach so we took advantage of our new location and met my family for an early Father’s Day dinner on Saturday night.
(This is what happens when your mom is a blogger too. Lots of photo ops!)
The Mini Athlete posed for some photos for my mom with my little sister…
He loved looking out at the water with Daddy…
And tried to talk Grandpa into going in the water with him. Next time little guy…

Our evening ended with a beautiful sunset – one of the perks of living on the west coast of Florida!
So…who wants to come visit?
As crazy as our life is right now, it’s evenings like this that remind us “THIS is why we moved back.” We love being able to see our parents just about every day – I love that they will be such a present part of our kids’ lives.
Speaking of that second child – can you believe I’m 16 weeks pregnant? I can’t! It feels like this pregnancy is just flying by. I’ll try to start with some pregnancy updates soon.
But for now, my alarm is set for 6am tomorrow morning and I fully intend to get a workout in. If you’re reading this after 6am on Wednesday morning, ask me how it went. I need the accountability!
Maybe sleeping in my workout clothes will help…
Goodnight!

What a beautiful place! Actually, I am planning to have a holiday now and see how the world is so nice.. I will bring my kids with me.. Thanks!
Gorgeous pictures!! How was your workout?
Good morning! How did it go today?
I am so happy for you and your family – it must be a great feeling to be able to see everyone so frequently again! I love the sunset photos… makes me very homesick…
I hope your workout went well and congratulations on all the good things happening right now.
Wow that’s beautiful!
you are so smart to do that. We want to move by my parents so badly (and then start having kids)
Good luck! I’ve been meaning to go running but I’ve settled for walking.
How did it go? Did you get up? I want to know!!! LOL I can see how good it is for you to be back at home near your family, but I miss you!
