Look who we got to see again yesterday!
If you’ve never seen an ultrasound in person, it’s hard to describe how amazing it is to see this tiny little baby dancing across the screen. I’m finally starting to feel some movement so it’s so fun to feel a kick and see it on the screen at the same time!
People have often asked me, “Are you going to find out what you’re having?” Never a question for us. My husband isn’t a fan of surprises and it sure didn’t take much twisting of my arm to find out. We found out with the Mini Athlete and so of course we would find out with this one!
But what you don’t know is…we actually found out a few weeks ago! (Sneaky, aren’t I?) We scheduled an ultrasound without telling any of our friends and family just two days before the Mini Athlete’s (belated) first birthday party. I wrapped a balloon up in a box and made sure it would be the last present the Mini Athlete opened. When we opened the box, to everyone’s surprise this popped out!
That’s right…IT’S A GIRL!
I absolutely love this photograph. The room got silent for a split second as everyone tried to figure out why a pink balloon had just popped out of the box. My mom put it together before everyone else and started screaming/laughing and nearly choked me as she hugged me tightly. The whole room erupted into cheers and screams shortly thereafter – hence the hilarious expression on the Mini Athlete’s face. Poor guy wasn’t quite sure what was going on. But it sure does look like he is a bit concerned about the prospect of having a little sister. 
Bring on the ruffles and bows – we’re having a baby girl!
