After morning naptime yesterday, we headed out to explore our vacation spot a little bit more. We’re staying in the Village part of Sandestin and we set off to see the sights. Such a quaint little place!
Unfortunately, we picked the heat of the day to go exploring and let me tell you, even for this Floridian, the heat was OPPRESSIVE. We stopped in at Hartell’s – a little diner. I’m happy to say I resisted the urge to indulge in one of their milkshakes (probably the only “healthy” eating decision I’ve made this entire trip.)
Why did we pick this spot? My husband saw a sign for $1 PBR. Classy. My boys and their drinks…
We enjoyed our walk through the Village – we’re hoping to check it out this evening. I’m guessing it’s a little difference scene once the sun goes down!
We had a great time hanging out with the family last night (and probably stayed up way too late) but I insisted on getting out early for a morning walk. It was a good decision. The shade and slightly cooler weather made all the difference!
Since I didn’t do an official baby bump photo this week, here I am at 22 weeks!
My husband wasn’t so into the photo shoot portion of our walk. Haha.
But he did indulge me for a quick family photo. We’re so lucky that the Mini Athlete loves being in the stroller!
Such a beautiful morning.
Oh and in case you’re curious (Mom), this is where we’re staying this week.
As I mentioned, we’re staying here with about 60 of our closest family members. We’re in a three bedroom condo with my inlaws…and we hosted breakfast this morning for all the family. This is only a fraction of the people we crammed into the condo at one time.

Good times, good times. And good cooking by these two (our gracious hosts, my inlaws)…

Hard to believe we’re going home tomorrow. Why does vacation always seem to fly by so quickly??

These are the times I really do wish we lived there. So hard seeing everyone together and we are missing it. Can you believe I’ve only met the family twice since we’ve been married? Our wedding and Thanksgiving in 2009. So so sad. But, it looks WONDERFUL and I’m glad you guys are having fun!!!
its so funny to me to see photos of the village of where I JUST was like two weeks ago! Trips me out! Hope you are enjoying yourselves. We ate at the place in the back by the pier it was really good and of course breakfast at the broken egg, yum!
That looks like such a beautiful vacation spot.
Looks like such a cute place to vacation! We always vacation at the end of summer so we have just had a few weekends away so far.
Looks like fun… And I graduated from AAMU… What a small world
Looks awesome! And lol – my friends would definitely stop somewhere just for $1 PBRs
