Thank you all for your sweet comments. I promise when I wrote yesterday’s post, I wasn’t trying to whine or get your sympathy! I really just felt like I needed to get that off my chest. Now that it’s out there, we can move on. Oh and to those of you who thought I might be contemplating quitting blogging – have no fear. You’re stuck with me.
I really had just begun to feel like maybe I didn’t have anything of substance to offer you at this time of my life. But your comments assured me that encouragement can be found even in the smallest of decisions we make along our journey. I think I also underestimated your interest in the pregnancy part of my journey, so I’ll be sure to keep including that information for you as well! And if there is ever anything in particular you’d like to see me post (or not post) about, please don’t hesitate to let me know.
I wasn’t feeling so hot this morning, but it was actually your encouragement yesterday that got me out the door this morning for my walk with the Mini Athlete.
I’m so glad I did! We had quite a storm come through last night and it was just what we needed to cool things off. I wish every morning could be so beautiful!
As we were taking off on our walk, Daddy headed off for a morning run after saying a quick goodbye to the Mini Athlete.
He’s getting excited about race season starting up again soon. I think after winning his last 5k, he’s anxious to get back out there and see just what he can accomplish with some training!
Speedy McSpeederson.
It cracks me up that he runs with his long basketball shorts and high socks. When people see him at races, I don’t think they perceive him as a threat because he doesn’t “look” like a runner. But don’t be fooled! Looks can be deceiving.
We headed off on our walk the other direction and came across this exciting sight.
Well, exciting if you’re a little boy who loves trucks and construction equipment. I have a lot to learn about these sort of things – my dad would be embarrased by the names I make up to call things.
Because of some scheduling issues, the Mini Athlete got to come to work with me for a few minutes this morning. I’m not sure who was happier with the arrangement – me or him!
He got right to some strategic planning…
But quickly decided he needed a break from all that hard work.
Oh it’s a rough life being a baby.
Now it’s time for Mommy to get some work done.
Make today a GREAT day!

My husband does the long shorts and high sock thing too!!
