The weeks are just flying by! Here’s the baby bump at 23 weeks:
She is definitely growing and so am I!
As a refresher, this is what I looked like in my last “Body After Baby” post – 10 months postpartum, which also happened to be 6 weeks pregnant!
I went to the doctor this morning and everything looks and sounds great! I’m officially up 14 pounds from my pre-pregnancy weight. Apparently that’s right on track, although it’s always hard to see a new “decade” appear on the scale. I didn’t write down my weight during my pregnancy last time, but now I’m wishing I had just to compare.
I actually feel like I’ve gained a lot less weight so far this time, but I guess time will tell. I think I underestimated how much snacking and unhealthy food I ate at my previous job. Despite my recent obsessions with sweet tea and pop tarts, overall I think I’ve been much better this time around. I’ve also been walking 20-30 minutes every morning with the Mini Athlete. Every little bit helps! You might remember that I had a lot of hip pain during my last pregnancy. That has, for the most part, stayed away so far this pregnancy. I’m hoping that trend continues! In fact, a lot of things have been different during this pregnancy than my previous one with the Mini Athlete. Just further reinforces the fact that no two pregnancies are the same – even for the same woman!
Speaking of the Mini Athlete, we walked down to our neighborhood playground when I got home from work last night.
Another one of my favorite things about our new home’s location? The fact that this little park is just about a block away. I have a feeling we’ll be spending a lot of time here over the years to come.
But Daddy did learn tonight that the tube slide wasn’t quite as big as he had originally thought…
I bit my lip and resisted the urge to say, “I told you so.”
