Home Sweet Home

You may not have realized it, but I’ve actually been here for the past few days…

And while I had a great time, it’s good to be home. Sure seems like I’ve been traveling a lot lately, doesn’t it? Feels that way to me too.

This week’s travels were business-related – a four day conference for my new position. My head is still spinning from everything I learned! But at least I got to learn it in a beautiful place:

This is actually the training center for Nationwide Insurance – but they sometimes host outside groups like ours. It almost felt like a small, beautiful college campus! This was the view from my room…

Gorgeous. We even ate all of our meals in a dining hall – gotta love an all-you-can-eat buffet at every meal! I definitely ate for two this week…

Can you say Godiva Chocolate Chip Cheesecake? I can. And I did. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.

I didn’t really have the chance to do much walking while at the conference. There wasn’t much space to walk around the grounds, and I somehow didn’t think to pack my running shoes. I didn’t exactly feel comfortable heading to the gym in my sandals to walk on the treadmill.

But I did get in two pretty unique workouts while I was gone – I’ll be sharing them with you in the next few days. Good stuff!

For now, I’m enjoying being back home with this little guy.

Dancing to one of his favorite shows – Fresh Beat Band. Let’s just say he may not have been the only one dancing and singing along…

  2. Oh my gosh, how good are buffets!!? I am so jealous. But it looks like you have a great reason to be home ;-)

  3. Working out while travelling for work is so tough. I can only imagine how much harder it is while pregnant! At least you fit something in…something is always better than nothing! :)

It is amazing how close the children like to be to the TV. My grandson loves Fresh Beat Band. They do have some catchy songs. I don’t blame you for singing along.
