Hello third trimester!
Yes, this week I am 27 weeks pregnant – officially in the third trimester. Craaazzyyy. I think I’m still in denial that I’ll have another child in three months. Yep, I’m definitely in denial. Doesn’t seem real.
The good news? My hips have been MUCH better this week! Maybe I just had a brief bout of misalignment? Whatever the issue, I’m really happy not to be hobbling around all the time. Let the morning walks continue!
I feel like I am getting HUGE. Just for comparison’s sake, here I am at 17 weeks:
And here I am in the same shirt this week:
She’s growing and so am I. But I actually think I have (so far) gained less weight with this pregnancy than my last one. I’m currently up about 15 pounds from my pre-pregnancy weight. I’m not sure what I weighed at this point in my last pregnancy, but overall I gained about 40 pounds. Hopefully that will be a little less this time around!
It’s funny that I like completely different styles of maternity clothes this time than last time. Last time I couldn’t wait to wear the big, flowy maternity shirts. Now I want to wear fitted shirts – preferably non-maternity. However, since I don’t plan on getting pregnant again anytime soon, I really can’t justify spending much on new maternity clothes right now. Guess I just gotta keep going with what I have!
We bought the paint for Little Miss Athlete’s nursery, but have yet to get it on the walls. Thanks for all your well wishes for the Mini Athlete – it seems like he’s finally on the upswing! But taking care of a sick baby is exhausting. I’m thankful for all the great support we have from our families!
