Here you go – the latest baby bump update!
Yes, I’m still rocking the (non-maternity) shirt I wore at 18 weeks…
And at 27 weeks…
I’m thinking I should probably retire it for the next 10 weeks since I’d like to use it as a nursing top down the road and I don’t want it to be TOO stretched out.
The strange thing about this stage of pregnancy is that some days I look REALLY pregnant. Other days, not so much.
For instance, I don’t think I look all that big in that first photo, and somehow looked relatively small (in some angles) at the Central Florida Bloggers Conference last weekend.
Like this one:
Although not so much this one:
Oh and this photo from the conference made me laugh. I posted it on my Facebook page and asked people to provide their own caption. The results were hilarious. Do you have any great captions for it?
(Thanks to Professor Josh for the great photos!)
But back to the point of all these photos. Some days, I look way more pregnant than others. For instance, check out the massive bump today in my “work from home Fridays” attire:
I told you it’s looking big! And here’s the front view, in case you’re curious.
I’ve had not one, but TWO people this week predict that I’m having a boy. Apparently I’m carrying ‘high and round’ and that’s an oldwives tale for having a boy? Sorry to tell them, it’s a girl. And when pregnant with my boy, I carried much lower and much rounder ALL OVER. Just goes to show (yet again) that every pregnancy is different!
She is moving and grooving in there – all the time. I love it. Except when she wakes me up in the middle of the night. I also never had that “have to pee all the time” symptom of pregnancy with the Mini Athlete, but I definitely have it now. I also never had heartburn with him, but WHOA have I had some serious heartburn this time around.
I think she knows I’m talking about her. I just saw her move across my stomach. So creepy and so cool at the same time.
Overall, I’m actually feeling really good. Hip pain has been at a minimum! I just have to be smart about how much I do. I’ve also had to make sure I’m eating enough so I don’t end up getting woozy. It happens.
I can’t believe my next update will be in the “30s”. Aak! Where is the time going??
Did old wives tales correctly predict your child’s gender? They’ve been all over the place for me!

Totally gorgeous no matter what size
The old wives’ tales were actually pretty accurate with both my pregnancies. You look great!
It does seem like such a short time ago you were letting us know you were pregnant. Time is certainly flying by! You have one of the cutest bellies ever! At CFLBlogCon, I agree with you – I didn’t think you were showing very much – but the pink shirt pic says otherwise!
