A Family Wedding

Something my family is really good at?

Planning weddings.

And by “my family”, I mean my sister – affectionately known as “Super Crafty Sister.” (She’s also on Twitter – follow her at @supercraftysis!)

If you’ve been reading my blog since my wedding three years ago (!), you might remember how she designed our invitations, our programs, our aisle runner, etc etc.

She hasn’t slowed down since.

This past weekend, we celebrated the wedding of my Uncle Mike and his bride Kathy. They asked Super Crafty Sister to handle all the details and of course, she exceeded all expectations!

But she never does it alone. Not only is she super crafty, she is also super smart and knows that enlisting the help of her family is essential to pulling off a great event. And we are (almost) always willing to help!

My youngest sister (who really thinks she needs a blog-inspired name – any suggestions?) displayed her artistic skills by freehand drawing on the chalkboard…

How adorable is the finished product?!?!

Super Crafty Sister’s boyfriend got the task of steaming the tablecloths…oh and by the way, my Super Crafty Sister also put together all the floral arrangements for the event!

My sweet husband got in on the action…

And the Mini Athlete did his part by adorably playing peek-a-boo behind a tablecloth.

Speaking of the Mini Athlete, how stylish is he??

The ceremony? Absolutely stunning. This tiny chapel is on the grounds at Historic Spanish Point. Quaint doesn’t even begin to describe it.

Congratulations to the happy couple!

Do you have a “super crafty” member of your family?

Gorgeous wedding! My mom is the crafty one in our family. She did all the flowers/decorations for my wedding, and it looked terrific. She also paints and canes chairs. I wish I had some of her craftiness :)
