A Productive Evening

Most evenings, when the Mini Athlete goes to bed around 7pm, my husband and I kick back and relax. We will sometimes do the dishes, occasionally do laundry, but usually the approximately three hours before we go to bed are devoted to relaxation. And usually some type of sporting event on tv.

Not last night.

Actually, the night of productivity began as soon as my husband got home from work. He and the Mini Athlete got to work mowing the lawn.

They make a great team, don’t they?

Once the Mini Athlete went to bed, I started on my project for the evening. Putting together Little Miss Athlete’s crib!

My in-laws were kind enough to buy her crib, and we decided on the Graco Freeport. I love how it looks in her room!

I still have a lot of work to do in her room so you’ll have to wait for the full nursery reveal. But hopefully you won’t have to wait long since she’ll be here in the next month or so!

Oh and in case you wondered what my husband was up to while I put the crib together…

Yes, that is my wonderfully domestic husband cleaning our floors.

I love that man.

What do your evenings typically look like?

  2. I’m not sure I have a typical evening! Some nights I’m running and cooking dinner, other nights I stop by my parents’ house for dinner and then go to cheer practice to coach. Last night we ordered my fave Thai takeout and I did laundry. So thrilling 🙂

  3. On the 3 or 4 nights a week that I’m not working, our evenings look a lot like yours! Dishes, laundry, TV, relaxing together!

  4. There is nothing sexier than a man doing housework! Awesome. Way to go on putting the crib together. We usually watch TV after the kids go to bed. 🙂

Your home looks beautiful! I absolutely love your dark wood floors! You should do a post giving a tour of your new home!

  6. Our evenings are typically like your usual evening… Baby in bed at 7, followed by dinner and couch time for mom and dad! Love that white crib… Perfect for a baby girl!

  7. What a great hubs! My nights are usually spent doing school work, blog work, or catching up on Law and Order reruns… ha!

  8. I’m not sure which I love more, your gorgeous hardwood floors or the fact that your husband is cleaning them.
