Well, here we go again! Doesn’t it feel like I was just starting a Body After Baby series? Oh wait, I was…18 months ago. Time flies.
As a recap, here is where I was one month after giving birth last time.
And here I am one month after giving birth this time:
Umm…big difference. (And what a difference actually blow drying my hair makes…)
A few more angles.
I probably should have chosen a different outfit this time around – hope it’s not too confusing!
I keep saying that my two pregnancies were very different, and my weight gain was a perfect example of that. Last time I gained 40 pounds. This time? I gained 22. And at one month post-partum, I’m down to about 3-4 pounds above my pre-pregnancy weight and about 6 pounds above what I was before I got pregnant the first time.
Just as a point of reference – it took me about 8 MONTHS to get back down to this weight/size after my last pregnancy. Craziness.
So this “Body After Baby” journey will obviously be different. I’m already back in most of my pre-pregnancy clothes and I doubt you’ll be seeing dramatic weight loss. But trust me, there is still a LOT of work to be done! I wasn’t at my “goal weight” pre-pregnancy, I’ve lost all of my “fitness” and I’ve already signed up for some races this year despite the fact that I haven’t run since May. I’ll be doing a post soon about my “Body After Baby” goals…coincides pretty well with the start of a new year!
