Confession: I’ve actually had this new phone for about a month but just haven’t had a chance to post about it yet!
Christmas came early this year when Verizon Wireless asked me to be one of their Ambassadors again. The week after Little Miss Athlete was born, the Fed Ex man showed up with my surprise – this is what I found inside!
That would be the Droid DNA. So sleek!
My everyday phone is the original Droid Incredible – and I still love it. You might remember that I reviewed the Droid Incredible 4 last time around so I was happy to see another Droid in the package.
First impression? This thing is HUGE! It has a 5 inch screen – and I love that the screen goes all the way from one edge of the phone to the other. It is also 1080p HD so the quality of the screen display is stunning to say the least.
But to be honest, the phone is a little too big for my taste – at least at this stage of my life. I always have a toddler and/or a baby in my arms so I have mastered the art of doing EVERYTHING one handed – including navigating on my phone. The phone itself isn’t too bad, but once I added the Otter Box they sent along as a protective case, it’s just too big for me to comfortably navigate with one hand.
My husband, however, doesn’t seem to have trouble with it. Maybe I have little girly hands? And he’s loving the big screen. Why? All the better to watch his football games!
What you can’t see in this photo is that he’s actually watching a basketball game on the television while watching the football game on the phone. Rough life, huh?
Oh and the Mini Athlete is a fan of the big screen too. He now thinks that phone is his personal Fresh Beat Band watching device. And with the Beats audio on the phone, it sounds really good too!
I’m still figuring out all the cool features of this phone (the camera is AMAZING and deserves it’s own post!) so if you have any questions about it, let me know!
What are your thoughts on a phone’s screen size? Are you a “bigger is better” person or do you prefer a smaller phone?
Disclosure: I am participating in the Verizon Wireless Ambassador program and have been provided with a wireless device and three months of service in exchange for my honest opinions about the product.
