I ran today.
I actually set my alarm for 6am. I actually woke up when it went off. I actually got myself dressed before the kids woke up. I actually remembered to charge my iPod. I actually got out the door before the sun came up.
I ran 2 miles.
I averaged 11:15 min/miles.
It felt good. It didn’t feel fast. In fact, it felt a little awkward. A little uncomfortable. A little like I had a piano on my back. And judging by my shadow, it probably looked like that too.
(How DO people master the look of the gazelle when they run? Clearly, running faster is part of the process. But I FEEL like I’m running fast. Even when I’m obviously not. But I look more like a penguin trying to run than a gazelle…)
But at the same time, it felt good.
I just might do it again sometime.
